Badajoz
The city of Badajoz is a province of Extremadura which is part of the region of the Barrens, in the northeastern part of the autonomous community of Extremadura.
It borders on the border between Spain and Portugal, and its geography is marked by the footsteps of the Gévora and Guadiana rivers.
The city of Badajoz has had influence of many different culture and populations throughout its history but the current city we know today was founded in 875 by the emeritense muladí Ibn Marwan al-Chilliqui, in which during that time Badajoz Arab Batalyaus got the name or Batalyaws.
Badajoz has one of the most important fairs of Spain such as fair Badajoz bulls or harvest.
