Manuel Vázquez Garcés is a Spanish bullfighter popularly known in the bullfighting world as “Manolo Vázquez”.
Date of birth: August 21, 1930 in the San Bernardo neighborhood of Seville.
Public debut: On June 13, 1947 he debuted without picadors in Cabezalavaca, Badajoz. He alternated with Joaquín Delgado.
Debut with picadores: [/ u] his debut with picadores was made on July 11, 1948 in Ciudad Real. On that occasion he dealt with the steers of Mr. Luis Pérez Centurión along with Pablo Lalanda and Francisco Sánchez “Frasquito”.
[u] Alternative: [/ u] On October 6, 1951 he took the alternative in the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza in Seville with the bulls of D. Domingo Ortega and sponsored by Pepe Luis Vázquez. His witness was Antonio Bienvenida.
[u] Alternative confirmation: [/ u] he confirmed the alternative on October 7, 1951, one day after the alternative and with the same godfather and witness. On this occasion he bullfighted the cattle of D. Fermín Bohórquez and was seriously caught by his second bull.
