Manuel Vanegas Chacón is a Venezuelan bullfighter popularly known in the bullfighting world as “Manolo Vanegas.”

Date of birth: May 18, 1994 in Seboruco, Venezuela.

Public debut: [/ u] On September 9, 2009 he debuted without picadors at the Tovar Fair in Mérida, Venezuela, where he dealt with steers from the San José ranch.

[u] Debut with picadors: [/ u] he debuted with picadors fighting the steers of Nazario Ibáñez Azorín alongside Francisco José Espada and José Garrido on August 9, 2013 in the Gijón Bullring in Asturias.

On June 5, 2017 he took the alternative in Vic-Fezensac, France. His godfather was Curro Díaz and Juan Bautista, his witness.

Plazas in which he has bullfighted: Manolo has bullfighted in bullrings such as Maestranza de Sevilla, Las Ventas, La Maestranza de Ronda, Pamplona bullring, La Malagueta, Jerez de la Frontera bullring, Granada bullring, Arles Arena, Nimes Arena.

Bullfighter style: Young man with a lot of daring in the ring, and pure art.

[u] Additional information: [/ u] On May 16, 2018 he received a somersault in the Ledesma Bullring, which caused a serious injury that left him without mobility in his extremities. On March 10, 2019, he was discharged from the Toledo Clinical Hospital for Paraplegics after recovering almost 70% of his mobility.
