Debut with picadors: On April 7, 1985 in the bullring of Cordoba. Alternating with Rafael Gago and Paco Zurita to fight young bulls from Lora Sangran.
Alternative: He took the alternative in La Maestranza de Sevilla. Sharing poster with Curro Romero as his godfather and Espartaco as a witness of that fact. That day they fought bulls from the Torrestrella bull-breeding.
Confirmation alternative: On May 20, 1993 at Las Ventas in Madrid. With Armillita Chico as godfather and Fernando Lozano.
