The history of this distinguished cattle ranch began in 1996. It was established through the division of the Sotillo Gutiérrez brand, under the auspices of Article 6 of the UCTL (Union of Fighting Bull Breeders) Statutes. Its initial stock included Domecq bloodlines acquired in 1992 from Jandilla, Zalduendo, and Toros del Torero, to which cows and bulls from El Torreón were later added. In 2002, Valdellán, S.A.U. acquired exclusive rights to the brand, making modifications to the design, ear markings, and colors, and establishing the herd with 80 cows and two bulls from Hoyo de la Gitana.
Later, after eliminating a large portion of the cattle acquired from Hoyo de la Gitana, in 2005 and 2006, 28 cows and 15 untested heifers from the Dª Pilar Población del Castillo ranch were added, representing a predominant lineage at that time.
