Arenal Marbella Bulls and Morante: a double bill in Marbella
23 marzo 2026
Arenal Marbella Toros reaches agreement with Morante de la Puebla: the maestro set for a double appearance in Marbella
The Marbella bullring will once again feature Morante de la Puebla on two key dates. Arenal Marbella Toros has secured his presence for a double appearance, strengthening the importance of the season at this venue.
In this article, we take a closer look at when he will perform, what this double booking means within the calendar, and how it fits into the ongoing development of the bullring.
The company Arenal Marbella Toros (Fermín Bohórquez, José María Pacheco, Iván Bohórquez, Miguel Báez ‘Litri’, Raúl Gracia ‘El Tato’ and Jorge Cutiño) has confirmed two dates for the bullfighter from La Puebla del Río. Morante will appear on June 13 and August 7. The August event will mark the return of the ‘Candiles Bullfight’, held at night with its distinctive staging, while the June date is part of the Marbella Fair.
Morante already made a strong impact in Marbella last season. He achieved a sold-out crowd for the first time in 41 years and cut two ears and a tail from a Garcigrande bull in a memorable performance. That event was also broadcast live on Canal Sur, reaching a 20.7% share, an uncommon figure for bullfighting broadcasts.
Arenal Marbella Toros began its work in Marbella in 2024, after the bullring had remained closed for a decade, with the aim of restoring its prominence during the summer season. This double appearance by Morante follows that direction: to consolidate the project and reinforce the appeal of the season, both for local fans and for those spending their holidays on the Costa del Sol.
In short, Marbella once again relies on one of bullfighting’s most distinctive figures to headline two of its main dates. At Taquillaoficial.com, you can find a variety of bullfighting tickets available for Marbella and other major events of the season.

Olivenza: thirty-five years after its first fair
05 marzo 2026
Olivenza: thirty-five years later….
Olivenza: thirty-five years later… The town of Olivenza once again becomes the center of the bullfighting calendar this weekend with its traditional Feria del Toro. A series that brings together leading figures and promising matadors at a key moment in the start of the season.
In this article we look back at what the fair represents today, how it began on March 3, 1991, and why, three and a half decades later, Olivenza continues to be one of the main reference points at the start of the bullfighting year.
The origin of the Feria del Toro
The fair celebrates 35 years since its first afternoon, held on March 3, 1991. That day inaugurated the Olivenza bullring with bulls from María del Carmen Camacho for Emilio Muñoz, Miguel Báez “Litri” and Jesulín de Ubrique.
Since then, the cycle has stood out for its line-ups and for the novelties that each edition has brought, including highly anticipated comebacks.
Over the years, the Feria del Toro has established itself as a fixed event within the bullfighting calendar.
An impact that goes beyond the bullring
The fair is not limited to what happens in the arena. During that weekend, Olivenza experiences intense activity that extends throughout the surrounding area.
The economic impact in the region, not only in Olivenza but also in Badajoz and nearby towns, reaches 5.7 million euros. Alongside the bullfighting events, several parallel activities take place:
Fair events
Concerts
Cultural activities
Livestock events
Exhibitions
All of this creates an atmosphere that places the Extremaduran town firmly in the spotlight during the days of the fair.
Olivenza on the bullfighting map
For the 2026 Feria del Toro in Olivenza, attendance is expected to exceed 20,000 people, in addition to the town’s 11,800 inhabitants and a significant number of visitors arriving from Portugal.
It was not always like this. Until 1991, Olivenza was hardly present on the bullfighting map. Today, fans from Spain, America, France and Portugal closely follow what happens in its bullring.
A report looking back at 35 years
On the occasion of the Feria del Toro Olivenza 2026, Canal Extremadura has produced a report reviewing the 35-year history of the Olivenza bullfighting fair, from that first corrida to its current consolidation.
A look at the evolution of a cycle that, thirty-five years later, continues to mark the beginning of the season for many fans.
At Taquillaoficial.com we offer a variety of bullfighting tickets available for those who want to experience the major fairs of the bullfighting calendar up close.

Morante de la Puebla in El Puerto Santa María: four afternoons in August
02 marzo 2026
Morante de la Puebla in El Puerto Santa María: Four Dates in August
Morante de la Puebla in El Puerto Santa María is shaping up to be one of the key storylines of the 2026 summer season. The Sevillian matador continues to outline his campaign and is said to have secured a major commitment in one of his favourite arenas.
According to journalist Jesús Bayort on his X profile, Morante would be set to fight all four bullfights of the season ticket series at the Cádiz venue, on August 1, 2, 8 and 9. If officially confirmed, the move would define the tone of the El Puerto summer fair.
The Sevillian’s return to El Puerto de Santa María comes after his two memorable performances there last season, still fresh in the minds of fans. The Cádiz arena, where Morante often finds his rhythm and connection with the crowd, would once again become a central stage in his summer calendar.
The meeting has also reportedly left the door open to a preliminary agreement for appearances in Palencia, Gijón and Aranjuez. This pre-agreement would include the intention of sharing the bill with Roca Rey, with whom Morante is keen to appear again.
Official line-ups are still pending, but all signs suggest that Morante wants El Puerto to be one of the highlights of his season. At Taquillaoficial.com, we offer a wide range of bullfighting tickets for El Puerto de Santa María and other major venues throughout the season.

Morante Doubles Down: Two Afternoons in Jerez
Morante de la Puebla will appear in Jerez on two afternoons during the upcoming Horse Fair.
The Funtausa company confirmed this in a press release, thus revealing one of the key figures of the series. The fair will be held from May 9th to 16th at the Jerez bullring.
While the official posters are expected to be released in the coming days, the two appearances of the bullfighter from La Puebla place Jerez as a highlight on his calendar. Morante will return to a bullring that has been particularly significant in his recent career.
Last year, he delivered a powerful performance there, culminating in the cutting of a bull's tail after a masterful display against a bull from the Álvaro Núñez ranch. This precedent explains the anticipation surrounding his return.
The full lineup for the 2026 Jerez Horse Fair will be announced in the coming days. At Taquillaoficial.com, we have a variety of bullfighting tickets available for the season's main fairs.

Picassian Bullfight 2026 in Málaga: Official Line-Up
The Picassian Bullfight 2026 now has its official line-up and date at La Malagueta. The Provincial Council of Málaga and Lances de Futuro have presented a combination that will bring together three leading names of the current scene on April 4th, Holy Saturday, in the event that opens the season at the Málaga bullring.
Below, we review the full bill for the Picassian Bullfight 2026, the key details of the event and the special context in which it will take place this year in Málaga.
Line-Up for the Picassian Bullfight 2026 at La Malagueta
The event will be held on April 4th (Holy Saturday) at 6:00 pm at the La Malagueta bullring.
Taking part:
Saúl Jiménez Fortes
Juan Ortega
Pablo Aguado
A total of three bulls from El Pilar and three from Puerto de San Lorenzo will be fought.
The line-up brings together the local matador Fortes, who arrives after several successful seasons and firmly established in the major fairs; alongside Juan Ortega, one of the standout names of today’s bullfighting scene and particularly linked to Málaga; and Pablo Aguado, recognised at last year’s fair for his cape work.
A Special Event in La Malagueta’s 150th Anniversary Year
The Picassian Bullfight is one of the most distinctive dates on Málaga’s calendar due to its staging and unique personality. This year it also coincides with the 150th anniversary of La Malagueta bullring, a milestone for which nearly fifty activities have been announced and will be presented in the coming weeks.
The president of the Provincial Council of Málaga, Francisco Salado, highlighted the special character of this event, which marks the beginning of the season in the arena. He also noted that it will be the final bullfight organised in Málaga by Lances de Futuro, expressing appreciation for the work carried out in recent seasons.
For his part, José María Garzón, general director of Lances de Futuro, stated that the aim was to design the best possible line-up for Málaga on that date, bringing together two established figures with Fortes in his home arena.
Picassian Aesthetics as a Hallmark
The artwork illustrating the bullfight has been created by Jacob Vilató and was presented on February 12th. With the final lettering of the poster, the artistic concept that will shape the event’s staging is now complete.
Vilató himself will oversee the main set design inside the ring, in keeping with the original artwork. The Picassian universe and his family connection to the Málaga-born artist will be central elements of the production. A special musical atmosphere and decorated boxes, following the style of previous editions, will complete the experience.
The Picassian Bullfight 2026 once again brings together an attractive line-up, selected breeding farms and a distinctive staging in one of the most singular events of the season. Tickets for this event at La Malagueta can be found at taquillaoficial.com, where you can also check availability for other bullfights throughout the season.
