The history of this distinguished cattle ranch began in 1918 when Lorenza Cortés, daughter of Vicente Cortés García, augmented her herd with fighting bulls from Nicasio Navalon, originally from María Sánchez, formerly Trespalacios. It was sold in 1965 to the Countess of Atalayas, who, in 1970, sold it to Luis Maldonado Passanha. He eliminated these cattle and purchased others of Urquijo lineage, the latter being an heir of his father, Diego Francisco d'Affonseca Maldonado Passanha. Later, in 1993, the ranch passed to João Maldonado Passanha. Its original history was lost, as in 1971 the brand and colors were changed to their current form. This led to its present ownership.
