The history of this renowned cattle ranch began in 1832 when José Vázquez de Sevilla established his ranch, named after José María Benjumea Vecino. Later, in 1869, bulls were fought under the names of José María Benjumea's sons, and in 1876 under the names of his descendants. Then, in 1919, the ranch was sold to José Gómez, who soon liquidated the acquired stock. Finally, in 2005, Francisco Núñez Benjumea purchased the ranch.
