See all the bullfights of Luis Algarra
The history of this distinguished cattle ranch begins in 1948 when Mariano and Francisco Pelayo Navarro purchased the remaining portion of Ignacio Figuero's estate, which had been divided after the post-war period from the long-established Duke of Tovar ranch. In 1960, it was acquired by Andrés Parladé, who then sold it to Algarra del Castillo in 1963. Later, in 1965, Algarra del Castillo purchased a herd of cows and a bull from José Benítez Cubero. Since 1975, the ranch has been registered under the name of Luis Algarra Polera, who eliminated the previous stock and transformed it with cows and bulls from Juan Pedro Domecq y Díez, originally from the Conde de la Corte and Tamarón lineage. This is the history of the ranch, which has remained in the hands of its current owners.
