The history of this renowned cattle ranch began in 1940 when Don Alicio Cobaleda used cattle from Coquilla. The ranch was divided in 1949, and the portion belonging to his daughter Catalina was sold to the Count of Las Navas. The latter, in turn, transferred ownership to Don Fermín Díaz Tresgallo, who acquired a herd of cows from Villamarta that same year, originally from Don Salvador Guardiola Fantoni. In 1968, the ranch passed into the hands of Don Antonio de la Cova Benjumea, under the name "El Encinar." In 1970, Don Antonio de la Cova sold the ranch to Don José Luis Martín Berrocal, who registered it as "El Toril." In 2007, the current owner acquired the ranch, making changes to the brand and incorporating two groups of cows and bulls from El Fleixo, thus eliminating the previous configuration.
