The history of this distinguished cattle ranch began in 1898 with Mr. Celso Pellón, who started with cattle from the Adalid, Conradi, and Ibarra ranches. Years later, in 1908, it was sold to Mr. Genaro López Quijano, and from him to Mr. José de la Cova, who in 1930 expanded the herd with a group of cows from Urquijo and a bull from the Conde de la Corte ranch. In 1941, a group of females from Villamarta was acquired. In 1946, the ranch was divided into two groups, one of which belonged to Mr. José de la Cova Benjumea, who introduced a new brand.
