The history of this renowned cattle ranch began in 1901 with Andrés Sánchez de Coquilla, who established the herd with cattle from the Udaeta, Veragua, and Carreros lines. In 1916, he eliminated the previous stock and replaced it with cows and bulls from the Conde de Santa Coloma and Albaserrada lines. In 1997, Juan Albarrán Marín acquired the branding rights and, through a lottery, obtained 50% of the total herd from José Luis Pereda.
