The history of this renowned cattle ranch began in 1951 when Enrique María Valdenebro acquired a plot of land from María Amparo González Martín, which had been assigned to her in 1949 following the division of her father Gabriel González's inheritance. After this acquisition, the Marquis of Jódar, Enrique Valdenebro, purchased a herd of cows and two bulls from Juan Belmonte and Julia Cossío, choosing to register his ranch under the title of Marquis of Ruchena, another of the noble titles held by Mr. Valdenebro. In 1985, he decided to transfer ownership of the ranch to his children, who registered it under the name Jódar y Ruchena.
