The history of this distinguished cattle ranch began in 1875 when José Torres y Díez de la Cortina acquired some cows from his relative, José María Benjumea. Then, in 1901, several specimens were obtained from Luis Gamero Cívico, which led to the elimination of the Benjumea stock. Later, the ranch passed through the hands of José Gamero Cívico. The ranch subsequently belonged to Goyzueta Hermanos in 1918, Andrés López Chaves in 1920, Fabián Mangas in 1926, Lorenzo Rodríguez in 1928, Benito Martín Rodríguez, Juan Sánchez Tabernero in 1942, and finally, Francisco Ramírez Bernaldo de Quirós acquired it from him in 1950. Ultimately, it came under the ownership of its current proprietor.
