The history of this renowned cattle ranch began in 1843 when Diego Hidalgo Barquero crossed cattle from the Vistahermosa and Vazqueña breeds. In 1850, Ramón Romero Balmaseda acquired the property, adding cattle from the widow of Juan Cabrera. Rafael Laffite became the owner in 1862, and it later passed to José María de la Cámara. Subsequently, the Marquis of Guadalest took over the property, adding a crown to the brand. Manuel Camacho Naveda purchased the property in 1931 and sold it to Juan Belmonte, who registered it in his wife Julia de Cossío's name. In late 1954, Julia de Cossío sold the property to José Aparicio and José Belmonte. In 1966, the property was sold to Mr. Pío Alcón and Mr. Andrés Sánchez Pastor, with the latter becoming the sole owner in 1977. Finally, in 1986, Mr. Luis and Mr. Antonio Domecq acquired and established the property with 100 Torrestrella cows.
