Diego Antonio Espíritu Santo Ventura, known professionally as Diego Ventura, is a Portuguese rejoneador and breeder of brave bulls.
DATE OF BIRTH: He was born on November 4, 1982 in Lisbon, Portugal.
PUBLIC DEBUT: He debuts at the young age of 9, bullring a calf in the municipality of puebla del río in seville. where he shared the bill with morante de la puebla and álvaro guisasola.
DEBUT AS A BULLFIGHTER: Participated in a bullfight on February 1, 1998 in the Churriana bullring, Málaga. Fighting bulls from the Manuel Morilla ranch. Through there his career intensified with more appearances at different fairs.
ALTERNATIVE: On september 13, 1998, he took the alternative from his father and mentor joao ventura, with witnesses francisco benito and sergio galán, in the municipality of utiel in valencia.
STYLE OF THE REJONEADOR: Diego Ventura's style is that of a versatile and unique rejoneador, with great skill in handling horses, with a unique and risky character in the ring. One of the great features of him is the great handling of him and the connection of him with his horses.

ADDITIONAL: Among Diego Ventura's great achievements are the 17 large doors that he started in 2003 until 2019. On the other hand, he accumulated 10 Large Doors in the iconic Maestranza of Seville. These results establish him as one of the most important rejoneadores in the bullfighting world. Diego Ventura has a total of 20 horses in his stable, where the most relevant for the rejoneador is his horse Lio and Nazarí. The latter has been his faithful companion on the great afternoons in Madrid and Seville. On May 20 at the Jerez de la Frontera Horse Fair, Diego Ventura retired his most important horse "Nazarí". They both had 16 years of work and tasks together, and with whom he is now going to share the peace.
