The history of this prominent stud farm dates back to when Juan Sánchez Tabernero founded it with horses from Lorenzo Rodríguez. In 1957, the ranch's structure was divided, and one of the lots was granted to his daughter Isabel as a family inheritance. Later, in 1967, the Lozano brothers purchased the ranch and presented it under the name of La Jarilla, modifying the stock and adding animals from Da Eusebia Galache. Finally, in 1982, all the aforementioned elements were eliminated and the ranch was formed with females and stallions from the heirs of Mr. Carlos Núñez, declaring it the Alcurrucén ranch.
