All the arenas where Morante could appear: business moves and cities involved

Morante de la Puebla has decided to return. After that 12 October at Las Ventas, when he cut off his “coleta” in tears and many took it as a final farewell, his name is once again at the centre of headlines, offices and conversations among aficionados.

The comeback begins in Seville, but the map does not end there. Here is a look at the confirmed appearances and the arenas that, due to business movements and existing commitments, could be added to his season.

Seville, the official starting point

The Real Maestranza de Caballería of Seville is, for now, the only confirmed engagement. It is the foundation of his campaign and, at this stage, the backbone of his calendar.

He is scheduled to appear on:

Easter Sunday (5 April).
Preferia (Thursday, 16 April).
Farolillos (Monday, 20 April).
Corpus Christi (Thursday, 4 June), a date brought back this year by José María Garzón after several years of novilladas on that slot.

The confirmed ranches are Garcigrande, Hermanos García Jiménez-Olga Jiménez, on two afternoons, and Álvaro Núñez. There is also an open date during the San Miguel fair should he decide to round off his season in Seville.

The bullfighter himself made it clear on Canal Sur: there is enthusiasm, but also caution. No fixed number of bullfights or arenas has been set. Seville is the starting point; the rest is yet to be defined.

Zaragoza, pending the concession

One of the most significant moves concerns the Coso de la Misericordia. Ramón Valencia and Casa Matilla hold a letter of commitment from Morante to fight two afternoons if they are awarded the management of the arena.

This detail positions Zaragoza as a potential key stop, provided the business conditions are finalised.

Jerez, a natural fit

Jerez de la Frontera is another arena where his name stands out. Managed by Casa Matilla, it has been a regular fixture in his seasons.

Last year he appeared twice there and was awarded a tail from a bull by Álvaro Núñez. A recent precedent that supports the logic of his return to an arena where he feels at home with the crowd.

Nimes and the Carlos Zúñiga circuit

According to reports in various media outlets, Nimes is on the horizon. So are Aranjuez, El Puerto de Santa María, Gijón, Palencia and Colmenar Viejo, all managed by Carlos Zúñiga.

The relationship between promoter and bullfighter is close, which often facilitates agreements. Official announcements are still pending, but Morante’s name is already on the table within that circuit.

Ronda, beyond contracts

Ronda remains marked in red. Last year he publicly expressed his willingness to fight in the Goyesca despite limited seating capacity, even suggesting formulas to support the arena.

Here, the symbolic and personal dimension carries particular weight.

Madrid, the big question

Las Ventas is the unavoidable question. Rafael García Garrido has publicly hinted at the possibility of his return, stressing that the decision will depend on the bullfighter and the moment he considers appropriate.

There is no date or official announcement yet, but Madrid remains in sight.

A season under construction

The outline suggests an open campaign, with no more than 15 or 20 arenas potentially joining Seville. No rigid structure, just decisions taken step by step.

Morante is back, and that alone reshapes any planning. Each confirmation will redefine the final map of the season.

At TaquillaOficial.com you can find a wide range of bullfighting tickets available for the main fairs where Morante may be announced in the coming months.
